afters clear's demise, david went on to produce music under various guises including the solid house sounds of cartel productions, the malignant breaks of darkmode and a highly acclaimed collaboration album with metamatics (lee norris) on neoouija.

in 2004 david set up his own record label called z-bop, with friend steve horne aka the horn (universal language). having dropped the hip-hop references from his style, the clatterbox sound of the new millenium is firmly devoted to minimalist sci-fi electro - evident on his recent productions for andrea parker's touchin' bass label and on his first outing on trust - the storm drain e.p..
